Can I charge and discharge the powerstation as the same time?
Yes, you can charge the powerstation/s with AC, DC or Solar power while
using them to operate devices & appliances.
Can I operate multiple portable fridges at the same time?
1008Wh: Yes - You can use the Anderson plug outlet, cigarette socket or
even the dual AC power outlets to power portable fridges (using the AC
outlets for DC fridges will use more power than is necessary though) as
long as you don’t exceed circuit protection levels. When doing this we
recommend using solar to keep the power station charged.
1920Wh: Yes - You can use the Anderson plug outlets, cigarette socket or
even the dual AC power outlets to power portable fridges (using the AC
outlets for DC fridges will use more power than is necessary though) as
long as you don’t exceed circuit protection levels. When doing this we
recommend using solar to keep the power station charged.
Can I use multiple outlets at the same time?
Yes, the only limit is the individual circuit protection levels for each
socket/s. If using multiple sockets at the same time off grid, especially with
high draw appliances like fridges, kettles, toasters etc, we recommend
having solar panels connected to keep the powerstation topped up
All of the Outlets have separate circuit protection to prevent issues
including the AC, DC & USB
How do I connect solar panels?
Please connect your UNREGULATED solar panel to the yellow solar/dc
inlet charge socket using the adaptor leads provided to connect to your
portable or fixed solar panel. Ensure your solar panel specs are within
the powerstation requirements. We recommend myCOOLMAN 100W &
200W solar blankets for ease of use
How accurate is the digital display?
The display is very accurate when the power pack has only a small load on
it. If a fridge compressor is running for example, the display will read less
than what charge is actually in the battery – It will still be reasonably
accurate but slightly less so that will no/little load applied
How many cycles can I expect from the powerstation cells?
1008Wh: The myCOOLMAN Energy 1008Wh powerstation will cycle 2000
times without any reduction in capacity across it’s life

MPPT controller. This will handle up to 400W of solar in perfect conditions.
NOTE – Using solar panels that generate more charge than what the
controller is rated to wont damage anything, it just means that only up
to max rating will flow through the integrated solar controller if
required
Can I overcharge my Power station?
No. The integrated chargers will ensure the powerstation only receives the
charge it requires. We recommend charging it fully every 3 months when in
storage and also the night before a trip
NOTE – Don’t leave the unit connected to charge indefinitely while in
storage, the battery will hold full charge for extended periods without
any input due the integrated BMS system

as well as being able to customize selected settings
Please review the owners manual of the powerstation for further
information
Why can I hear a cooling fan running in my myCOOLMAN Powerstation?
Both powerstations have integrated cooling fans to ensure the powerstation
electronics & battery cells are kept cool, this is controlled automatically via
an integrated temperature sensors inside the powerstation
NOTE – The cooling fans/s will only operate when required – usually if
there is a very high charge/discharge occurring within the
powerstation
Does the myCOOLMAN Powerstation have temperature cutouts?
Yes, the myCOOLMAN Powerstations both have high & low temperature
cutouts. These are designed to protect the powerstation electronics and
lithium cells from damage
Detailed information can be found in the owners manual on these and any
other error messages the appear on the display
Where can I Use/Store my myCOOLMAN Powerstation?
The powerstation can be used inside or outside without any problems. We
recommend avoiding exposing it to wet weather or excessive heat/freezing
temperatures during use or while in storage to prevent operational issues
Can I use the myCOOLMAN powerstation to run starlink?
Yes both powerstations are capable of powering any model of starlink you
have. The larger Gen 2 / Gen 3 models generally require 240V to operate
so you’ll need to use the AC Inverter in the powerstation.
The starlink MINI will operate from AC, DC or USB C (20v/100W) if you
have the appropriate cables, so there are many options to power the MINI
from the myCOOLMAN Powerstations
Solar Blankets
Can I connect my solar panel directly to my portable fridge or other DC appliance?
No – Solar panels must be connected directly to a compatible power
storage device ie Powerstation or Battery. The job of the solar panel is to
convert sunshine into usable energy, it then feeds that energy into a solar
controller to be converted into a stable electrical current, suitable to charge
the connected storage device
What is the most Amps output I can expect from my solar panel?
100W: You can expect up to 5A per hour from your 100W solar blanket in
perfect solar conditions (full sun / optimum angle).
200W: You can expect up to 11A per hour from your 200W solar charger in
perfect solar conditions (full sun / optimum angle)
I'm not seeing the expected charge output from myCOOLMAN Energy solar blanket even though it’s very sunny?
There are a few reasons why your solar blanket won't provide the max
possible output even in full sun:
- The battery/powerpack it is charging is full or near full – The solar
controller restricts charging as the battery gets full to prevent
overcharging - The ambient temperature is high – Solar performs better in lower
ambient temperatures - The solar panels are shaded or not angled correctly to the sun –
Even partial shade will severely limit the solar output - Even with an efficient MPPT controller fitted, the solar blanket will
perform best in the strongest sunlight, 10am – 2pm are the most
effective times of day for gathering energy from the sun
Can I use the solar panel without the controller?
Yes, you can, however you must ensure the unregulated charge output
(around 23V) is regulated before it gets to any battery/powerpack cells
The myCOOLMAN Energy powerstations both have integrated MPPT solar
controllers, they require unregulated solar voltage to operate – You must
bypass the controller fitted to the myCOOLMAN Energy solar blankets
when connected to our powerstations
NOTE – For connections to other devices you must consult the
owners manual for specific instructions on solar connection & use
Can I connect the myCOOLMAN Energy solar blankets to other storage devices?
Yes, the myCOOLMAN Energy solar blankets can be used to charge any
12V battery or powerstation that accepts a solar charge. They come with a
MPPT solar controller for charging batteries that don’t have an integrated
solar controller, it can also easily be bypassed to allow connection of
unregulated solar to powerstations that have integrated solar controllers
I have noticed a few eyelets at various locations around the myCOOLMAN Energy solar blanket – what are they for?
The eyelets are provided to allow the solar blanket to be setup/used in
different ways
- Allow the solar blanket to be hung up off the ground
- Allow it to be pegged to the ground for added security
- Allow the legs to be pegged to the ground to prevent wind
knocking the panel over and stopping it operating
Can I leave the myCOOLMAN Energy solar blanket out overnight or in the rain?
While the blanket itself is water resistant, we don’t advise leaving it out
overnight, in the rain or even in stormy weather as the blanket won’t be
performing anyway due no sunlight. The MPPT controller must not get wet
or it could malfunction/fail prematurely
Inverter Chargers
What does an Inverter Charger actually do in my electrical system?
An inverter charger is essentially two critically important products in one –
The inverter side receives 12V DC power from a battery bank and inverts it
up to pure sign wave 240V Output to power any AC appliance that requires
240V AC power to operate
The Charger side receives 240V power externally ie caravan park,
generator etc, which then powers up the multi stage smart charger to turbo
charge the connected battery bank
Are the myCOOLMAN Energy Inverter Chargers Lithium Compatible?
Yes both of these inverter chargers are lithium compatible – simply flick the
selector switch to battery type as required
What Does Pure Sine Wave (PSW) Output mean?
Pure Sine Wave (PSW) output simply means that the AC output from the
inverter is smoother, cleaner & more reliable than other inverter styles
which means that they are safe to connect even sensitive AC powered
appliances to without the potential to cause damage to the appliance
What are the output ratings on each inverter?
2000W – Max continuous output is 2000W – there is a 30 minute boost
function to 2400W
3000W – Max continuous output is 3000W – there is a 30 minute boost
function to 3600W
What are the output ratings on the integrated charger?
Both versions of the myCOOLMAN Energy Inverter/Chargers have a
maximum 1500W (150A @ 10V) output to fast charge even large capacity
battery banks. The charger is fully adjustable if that amount of output is not
required for the specific battery bank being charged
What type of appliances can my inverter charger operate?
The myCOOLMAN Inverter/Chargers can operate any AC appliance as
long as it, or a combination of appliances don’t exceed the Inverter/Charger
output ratings
All of that information can be found on the appliance under manual or spec
sticker for reference – then calculate totals to see if you remain under the
inverter/charger ratings
Do you have a reference guide as to approx. runtimes from a set battery bank size at varying loads to help me understand requirements?
