Purchased the latest model 11 months ago at the cost of $2100 then had it professionally installed costing $800, used it at Xmas time thought it was average in temps of 28-30, took the van away last week and the temps were 34-36 the unit struggled to cool a 20 ft van. I contacted a warranty technician who came out and he checked it out in his opinion it was working to its full capacity because he found no fault that cost $150. So now we are stuck with a what I can only call an inferior Air conditioner. We thought we had done our research but obviously we hadn’t done enough, we had a 13 year old A/C that we just wanted to up grade, it worked a treat just it was getting noisy.
Aircon leaks lots of water back through the unit when turned off
The myCOOLMAN aircon does not allow you to adjust the fan speed in heating mode. It is permanently on MAX fan speed!
The instruction booklet says you can adjust the fan speed in heating. However, we called myCOOLMAN and they said the “The instruction booklets are wrong” My husband and I feel we are being led up the garden path! Who in their right mind makes a unit where you can’t adjust heating fan speed?!
It’s too loud to sleep with it on!
The only other option (to not sweat it out overnight) it to put it in Auto mode, however the “click” it makes when the unit cycles on wakes us so frequently overnight we prefer not to use the unit and freeze overnight. Useless when we and my young kids camp in below 5c overnight temps.
Feel lied to. We wouldn’t have bought this unit if we had this information beforehand.
Installed into a 17ft millard horizon im renovating, put in to replace a 22yo four seasons hatch, made a pine frame to reduce thw hole size to 400 and it dropped straight in. Very light, i can hold it up above my head with 1 arm, lined up perfectly. Its quiet, really quiet, but blows good cold air. It was 30c today and it pulled the van temp down tp 20c in a little over 15 minutes then throttled down.
